THE STORY

Pastels are having their moment — and pink, the classic every little girl grows up loving, was always going to lead it. We chose a baby pink so soft it's almost peeled-onion: gentle, warm, and flattering on every skin tone. Then we added a bow at the neckline, because the smallest, most old-fashioned touch is often the one that makes an outfit feel special. It's elegant, it's on-trend, and — most importantly — it's comfortable. Grand can be comfortable, too. This top is soft and gentle against the skin, so comfortable she can wear it from the first prayer of the morning to the last plate of sadya and stay happy in it all day. Below the waist is the pavadai you already know: a pure cotton pleated skirt with a handwoven kasavu border, sourced straight from Kerala's weavers, with pleats measured inch by inch to hold their line even after a hundred washes. And it's made the way all our clothes are made — by hand, with high care, by women in a clean, fair and dignified workshop. It's an exclusive dressthekid design — this pastel-and-bow combination is ours alone. The back closes with press buttons, so Onam morning stays calm.
